So! You wanna know about me but not only the "pro" side?
Well, you've arrived to the right place! Here you will find some personal info about me. A bit of everything!

Let's start saying that I'm from Mérida, Yucatán; born and raised in Mérida, but with little time in Chiapas for my early years. Maybe that's why I don't have the yucatecan accent, typical from those places, so when I've learned to speak I was in Chiapas and when I arrived to Mérida, well, I've lost the accent.
My biggest school achievement was to share the second place on fourth grade at the elementary school! SONRISA
For the university, I've decided to study Systems Engineering, but due subjects like Maths I, Maths II, Maths III, Chemistry and Physics I had to quit, the fact that the Maths I's teacher was a union leader at that time, didn't help much, I only had 2 classes in the semester! Anyway, the only subjects where I had good to excelent notes were Computer History, Algorithms and Programming.
My second choice to study at the university was Psychology, but I couldn't stop imagining my parents telling me "You always want to do what your sister does!"; so I better picked Architecture... but the school was so expensive, so I ended up studying Graphic Design in the Modelo University.
Thanks to the fact that in the early days of Internet, a bit more than 10 years ago now, everything was in English, now it's a language I can speak and write fluently and, of course, it's a language I practice everyday reading or chatting online, and talking with some people who come visiting the city and don't speak Spanish.
I'm member of the CouchSurfing project since 2006 and I love it! to meet people and share experiences is very interesting; well, actually I've started since 2005 with the Hospitality Club, which idea is practically the same, but now I'm more active on CS.
Thanks to the Internet and these hospitality networks, I can say that I know a lot of people from all around the world; some of them have become good friends and we keep in touch from time to time.

Obviously I like to meet people from different places, visit places too, but actually I haven't had many chances to travel; I could say I've only done it two times, the first time to Belize, Guatemala, Salvador and Honduras; and the second time to Belgium, Netherlands and Germany, of course, I passed by Luxemburg in the train from Munich to Brussels hehehe. To travel is always beautiful, it's a real shame that it is so complicated with passports, visas, and of course... money LENGUA
Something I always have present, is music, I can be walking outside, be in a bus, working at home or doing different stuff, but I always love to have some music; when I say I like all kind of music, most of the people don't believe it, but I would say yes, I like around 99% of the different musical genres.
I like to watch TV too, but not anything, I like movie channels like HBO and Cinecanal; when I watch a movie I always like it in the original language, when it's dubbed, I usually switch channels. Some other channels I like would be, A&E, History Channel and of course some with sitcoms: Friends, The big bang theory, House, Two and a half men... those are good ones!
Less frecuently but I also like to watch some sports channels; I like tennis, ice skating, gym... Classic Arts Showcase it's another channel I enjoy a lot, specially when they play ballet, waltz, etc.
Of course, ballet is something I prefer in a theatre; it's not something I do every weekend but I love it too!
However, what I do the most, is being in front of the computer, usually programming for web, making some websites, testing server configurations, and in general everything related with computers. When I'm bored, what do I do? Write a website! And if I'm bored and without Internet? disassemble and assemble my computer! Right now I have a DELL Inspiron 9400 laptop, it's a bit old now (I've got it for University) but still works like charm. However, if we talk about wishes... wow!

I would like to travel more often. That's the first thing on the list. Definitively!
The other day, I've heard on a TV show: "Son, today is your birthday and I know you like British music, what if we go to England?" Wow! I would like to be able to say that! "I want pizza today, shall we go to Italy?" Hahaha that would be awesome.
To open a hostel, I would love to host more people and plan some tours and events!
Get a new computer, this poor laptop is already old, a new and more powerful 19 inchs and 64 bit laptop would be cool!
To speak different languages, at the moment I want to learn Russian and German. Why? Becuase I would love to go to Germany and Russia! It makes sense, right? WINK
